NCLT President Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar demits Office

The President of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar, demitted office on February 13, 2026. He completed his tenure after serving as NCLT President since November 2021.
Case Disposal and Resolution Rate
During his tenure of over four years, nearly 54,800 cases were instituted before the Tribunal. Of these, more than 48,000 cases were disposed of, resulting in a resolution rate of over 85 percent.
At a farewell reference held in his honour, in the presence of members of the Tribunal and office bearers of the NCLT Bar Associations, Sudhakar stated that the increase in the resolution rate was achieved through the cooperation of stakeholders.
Administrative and Infrastructure Measures
In addition to his judicial responsibilities, Sudhakar focused on administrative systems and infrastructural facilities within the Tribunal. According to the release, these measures were aimed at improving the functioning of the institution and creating a conducive working environment for members of the Bar, litigants, and staff.
